The Baths – British Virgin Islands paradise

The British Virgin Islands are an across the sea territory that belongs to Great Britain. The islands are a part of the Virgin Islands archipelago together with US Virgin Islands and the Spanish Virgin Islands. The 58 miles chain consists of many islands, including Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Anegada, and Yost Van Dyke.

The official name of the islands is the Virgin Islands, but the prefix British is often used to distinguish it from the neighboring areas. There are around 60 islands and many uninhabited islets that belong to the British Island group. The capital, Road Town, is settled on Tortola, which at 12 miles long is the largest island in the group.

You can walk between the arches and tunnels, and try swimming in one of these natural bathtubs. An interesting thing about these pools is that they are open to the sea, so while swimming in the tunnel you can also enjoy the magnificent view of the Caribbean.

The rest of Virgin Gorda is full of golden sand beaches where you can spend your vacation without thinking about the noisy city life. But lots of tourists make these islands virgin no more. All the Earth’s beauties can’t stay untouched and unfortunately, start getting destroyed little by little. That’s why is very important to be a conscious traveler without making any damage.
