Bamboo Bike Built Your Own In Five Hours

I’ve mentioned on Outdoor revival that I’m getting on my bike more this year, one of the other guys from HQ is cycling from Nice to Barcelona at the moment and having a great time.

So, bike things are jumping out at us at the moment, and this product really jumped out at us. Can you imagine building your own bike in about 5 hours? That’s what this guy sunny chuah has created and is promoting via Indiegogo. Read on for more information from their community funding page:

WHY HAVE WE STARTED THE BIY 2 REVOLUTION?

Biking will always have a special connection between your childhood and your life as an adult. Most kids bike just to be out in the fresh air with their friends. Adults use bikes as fitness tools, or commuting tools, and more rarely just as a way to connect with their inner child and have some fun.

Who hasn’t wished that they could design and build a bike of their very own, instead of getting an impersonal, pre-assembled one from a store, or having to order one custom-made for their own unique body leg, torso or arm lengths?

But there were no bike kits, and raw materials and specifications for a bike were difficult to get.

We knew there had to be a better way, and we set out to find it with one simple mission:

“Anyone can build a bike easily within a day”

You can build your bike anywhere.

The Modular Builder’s Jig has been designed so that it is easy to assemble depending on what type of bike you’d like to put together. Think Legos. And once put together, you can put the jig up on the wall, home work station or even on the floor of a living room or hall and start building your bike.

Regardless where you place the Builder’s Jig, it won’t affect the accuracy of assembling the frame to the appropriate specifications!
