An adult blue whale eats around 40 million krill per day.
The humpback whales are simply gorgeous ocean mammals that feed on planktons. They are known as the greatest singers of the underwater world, though when you hear them sing is not actually how you imagined it. Anyway, diving alongside a humpback is an incomparable experience that you can never forget in your life. Male humpbacks can reach up to 46 feet, while the females are slightly larger with 52 feet.
If you’re ever any near Big Island, Hawaii and you like diving, don’t miss the chance to see this elegant ocean beauty. It can grow up to 23 feet and weigh 2980 lb. The giant oceanic manta ray is characteristic for its dark dorsal color and white at the end of the fins.
The Sperm whales are the largest toothed whales among the whale species and the largest toothed animals on the planet. They have a very big head full of a semi-liquid substance called spermaceti. This liquid helps the sperm whales to produce clicking sounds that they need for communication. The sperm whale can dive 3,280 feet in search of food and can hold its breath for 90 minutes.
The animals considered as the biggest man eaters in the world which can be true if you have bad luck, but the things are not as we think. Humans kill sharks many times more than sharks kill men. So, after all the big white is not the worst predator on Earth.
Diving with the biggest ocean animals is quite an adventure. If you don’t bother them, they won’t bother you. It may seem like an extreme sport, but it’s not. As soon as you do it once and you get used to their massiveness, you would like to do it over and over again.
