Maybe Europe isn’t home to the world’s largest lakes, but it can be proud of the most beautiful alpine lakes on the planet. Most of them are located in the Central Alpine region. You should start in Switzerland, known for its dramatic lakeside sceneries. After visiting Zurich, Lucerne, Geneva, and Maggiore head to Lake Garda in Italy and then visit Lake Annecy in France. To finish the lake tour, head to the Balkans to enjoy the fantastic nature of Lake Bled in Slovenia and go on down to Macedonia to Ohrid Lake.

Our world is a beautiful place, and it would be a pity if we didn’t manage to see at least some of it during a lifetime. Choose your favorite place and book a flight. Good luck!
