All over the States, there are countless beautiful destinations that are kind of underrated, and you don’t hear about them too much. That’s because people are used to popular vacation spots or places they already know. If you are somebody that likes to explore the country and go off the beaten path, then you need to make a different selection for your next holiday destination. There are so many places to see that are as much, if not even more incredible than the ones you usually visit. Here are some cool suggestions about where to spend your next vacation.

Mackinac Island, Michigan

If you prefer to move around a place by foot instead of driving around, then that place is Mackinac Island in Michigan. Even if you want to drive a car, you’re forbidden to do it here. Lake Huron is a great place to have a vacation for anybody looking for peace and quiet. Endless cycling opportunities, extended forests, and boating activities are some of the things you can do here to relax and recharge your batteries.

Denali National Park and Preserve, Alaska

Denali is your vacation destination if you’re searching for six million acres of untouched wilderness. This vacation option is especially suitable for people who suffer from the stresses of everyday life. This vast and virginal natural landscape will help you forget whatever it is that you’ve got on your mind. Also, Denali is a perfect place to see large and small wildlife roaming the unfenced land.

The shores of Lake Superior offer a great adventure along the sandstone cliffs with its breathtaking views, endless hiking trails, and paved drives. Overnight camping is also available with a permit and you can do it along the many miles of the national lakeshore. The North Country Trail extends for 42 miles in stunning landscapes from where you will be able to explore the area and enjoy the mesmerizing views. If you decide to spend your next vacation in Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, don’t miss the following spots: Munising Falls, Miners Castle, Chapel Rock, Chapel Falls, Twelvemile Beach, White Birch Forest, and Grand Sable Lake.

The Glacier National Park area was once known as “America’s Switzerland,” and it’s a home to some of the world’s most beautiful lakes, mountains, and meadows that you will ever see. Adventurers can enjoy more than 700 miles of hiking trails that run through Glacier National Park, while those who prefer to have guided tours can hop on the Red Jammer Buses and wooden tour boats. Whatever you decide to do, don’t forget to experience the beautiful historic chalets and lodges in the park.

Ashville is an amazing mixture of hippie creativeness and Southern charm and it has countless things to offer. If you want to experience beautiful mountains, swimming holes or hiking trails, then Ashville is your destination. After an endless day of exploration, you can enjoy the charming town’s food, local shops, and downtown musicians.

The Alabama Gulf Coast is a perfect place for all of you who enjoy wide stretches of sandy shores but want to escape the crowded Florida beaches. Besides from the beautiful sandy areas, what makes this destination so special is the tastiest seafood you’ll ever try.
